Meet Hannah Holman
Introducing OUR next cowgirl of our cowgirl series Hannah Holman. With thousands of followers on instagram, hannah is not your typical cowgirl. She is also a high fashion model in new york city, an actress, and an agro-tourism entrepreneur. Hannah grew up on a historic Cattle Ranch and farm in Utah that has been in her family since 1863.
How did a small town utah cowgirl become a woman with so many talents and accolades? We chatted with Hannah about her love for horses and fashion.

A little bit aboutHannah:
Hannah (born in 1991!) is from a small town in Utah where she grew up ranching on her family farm. She left to model at age 15. At 33 she now splits her time between Utah and NY while still traveling domestically and internationally for work. She attended the two-year acting program at William Esper from 2021-2023 and is currently enrolled at Columbia University for Film and Media. Her passion project is in Utah where she is building an eco-friendly shoot location and event space on her family farm nestled at the edge of the West Desert of Utah - where the skies are big, the mountains turn purple, and the sunsets come alive.

About her family farm:
M Bar L (M-L) Ranch is home to Little h Homestead.
M-L Ranch has been in the family since 1863 when Lars Nielson emigrated from Denmark and settled in Leamington, Utah. These days M-L Ranch is still a working cattle ranch and farm owned and operated by hannah’s father.
Hannah Holman, has for years been developing a space on the ranch for creatives to work on their personal projects. These artists and designers collaborate with the land through film, photography, and other media. The birth of Little h Homestead has been years in the making.

What does it mean to be a cowgirl?
I was born on a family cattle ranch. We all had work to do!
When I was scouted to model I was so eager to see the world. Now I’m eager for the time I get back home to build my homestead, Little H Homestead.
It’s dreamy riding horses on a beautiful day, but it takes work to enjoy those moments. There’s a balance of resilience and learning to appreciate the simple beautiful moments.

“It’s hard, slow, and dirty work with horses and cattle, but the dedication and patience necessary is something that can be transferred to every area of your life, for the better.”

From the Ranch to the Runway
Hannah has been modeling for 18 years, she started when she was 15 years old when she was recruited. She has been the face of the iconic Marc Jacobs Daisy campaign, has been a cover model for vogue Australia and has walked down the runway for chanel.
What has been your favorite project?
Any project in nature and with horses! My favorite Runway was the Chanel SS ‘10 show where the runway was a barn with hay and miniature pigs. I don’t even think they knew I grew up on a ranch, but it felt like home!
Can you tell us about the film “Darlin” you recently worked on?
I had always dreamed of shooting a Western lm on the ranch. Robert Gamperl and Travis Eller were the brains behind the project but it became a collaboration between all of us, and we even brought in my dad.
Darlin’ is about a strong woman traveling through the desert alone. That’s all I’ll say for now!

What advice do you have for cowgirls?
It’s hard, slow, and dirty work with horses and cattle, but the dedication and patience necessary is something that can be transferred to every area of your life, for the better.
